FAQ's
Frequently Asked Questions about Banner Signage
Q: How much does a sign or
banner cost?
A: We have developed our online price calculator to show
instant prices online. No need to wait.
We only use quality PVC materials such as Santex, AK420 and Rip
Stop.
Click
here to open our price calculator.
Q: Should I cut wind holes
into my banner sign?
A: We do not recommended cutting any wind holes. Modern PVC Vinyl
Banner Materials are cross hatched and layered to prevent excessive
tearing.
Q: Can I re-use my banner?
A: Yes, if your banner is manufactured by us using self adhesive
banner lettering, you can remove the section of lettering at a later
stage and replace with newer graphic designs or lettering etc.
Q: I want cheaper, can you
use a light weight?
A: Our sign company no longer uses light weight banner sign
materials. We have tried all materials over the years and only use
the products shown in our online banner colour sections. We can use
other manufacturers materials if they suitably match or exceed the
quality of our tried and tested vinyl materials. We care about your
signage.
Q: How much cheaper would
light weight be?
A: The saving for using a light weight banner is not available, very
little quality sign companies use light weight materials, so the
opportunity to purchase in bulk is reduced.
Q: Will the lettering be OK
on a banner?
A: Yes, we use specialty self adhesive vinyl that adheres to a PVC
vinyl surface, additionally, the lettering material is designed for
background flexibility.
Q: How big can you make my
banner sign?
A: Unlimited sizes are availabe. Our ability to heat weld banner
joins means strong overall material strength. To-date, our biggest
banner sign (1 piece) was 60 metres x 3700mm High for a global tyre
company.

Q: Do I need a council
permit for my banner.
A: Yes and NO. Banner signs do not require council permits as they
can be determined as temporary signage and community related.

public space etc, you may need to contact your local government
authority. We do not contact. Successful applications need to
completed by the banner sign owner.

marketing. High impact and low cost.
The material when finished can be lifted by one person easily.

Q: How do I start?
A: Call us, we can advise. 1. Send a quick sketch, 2. Help you
choose colours etc. 3. Then we will draw a layout to scale ready for
your approval.
Once you have purchased your banner and it has
arrived at your location, you will be ready to begin the
installation process. As we mentioned in our article on “Finding the
Perfect Location for Your Banner,” you will need to first focus on
where you will hang your banner before you focus on how you will
hang it. Once you have found the perfect location, you're ready to
move on to the next step.
Your location should not only be visible, but it should provide you
with a way to easily affix the banner to its surface. Whether you
plan to permanently install your banner or you plan on a temporary
installation, this is a very important factor. You will need to make
sure that you can either drill holes to fasten the banner, or that
there are places to tie off a rope if you plan to use this method
for installation.
Unless otherwise specified, all of our signage banners
are constructed on a medium weight PVC Banner material. The
following is a brief description of our medium weight banners.
Materials will be hemmed, and eyeleted every 800-1000 mm
unless otherwise specified. Let us know any requirement of
eyeleting. Brass eyelets are very cheap and we can press & place anywhere to suit
your style of banner sign.
All banners are sewn with 5mm rope top and bottom with approx 800 mm
tie off ropes / ends.
Storing your banner sign.
Do not fold your banner sign. It is better to roll
your banner sign around a pole or cardboard tube. Avoid creating
creases in your signage by always rolling up your banner signage.
Keep your banner sign dry and away from moisture, in the same manner
as you would store your camping equipment.
Our sign company has wide experience in supplying big signage

Making your outside banner Sign..
Stand out!
1. Use the largest size available for your banner signage that suits
the location or placement of your banner. Our online price
calculator automatically give you a discounted rate when the banner
sign becomes larger.
For example, a small 1000 x
1000 medium weight banner will cost more per m2 than a 6000 x 3000
banner per m2.
The larger your banner sign,
the further the reader can view your message.
When measuring your signage,
calculate all size in Millimetres.
If you are unsure of
millimeters, please call us and we can help you convert to your
measurement. E.G. 2400 mm = 2.4 metres.
2400 mm = 8 Feet.
Use Contrasting Colours and
Lettering:-
1. Use a background colour that
allows your sign to stand out from the crowd.
Note: In most cases, a White background is often more suitable and
will allow your lettering to stand out more.
2. Use a lettering colour that
allows your message to be easily read. Light lettering colours on
light backgrounds are not recommended, similarly, dark lettering on
dark backgrounds are not recommended.

General Banner and Sign
Design tips:
Choose colors that will not blend together and
opt for combinations that are easy on the eyes. While Burgundy on
Black is not a very readable choice, this colour combination will
look fantastic for imagery. Keep in mind, however, that by choosing
tone-on-tone variations you are sacrificing readability. If your
potential customers can't easily read your sign, chances are they'll
ignore it. Over the long haul, that can result in a significant loss
of business. In most cases, the farther away you can read your
advertisement the better. Some good color selections are yellow with
black, yellow with green, white with any dark color (i.e. blue with
white, red with white, etc.). The key is to choose colors that
sharply contrast each other so as to leap off the design. If you're
still set on using dark combinations, like red on black, consider
outlining the edge of your letters in white. This technique allows
for separation between the colors and will attract your audience's
eye much better.
Choose a shape that fits your design's intended concept. For
example, if you are designing a sign with long rows of text, then
opt for a long rectangular sign to accommodate your lettering. Do
not attempt to squeeze it all in on a square sign. Doing so will
force you to use smaller letters and will result in a lot of wasted
space. The same rule of thumb applies if your intended design
requires several short rows of text, one on top of the other. In
this instance, opt for a sign shaped to fit your lettering.
Keep your sign simple. Give your audience only the details
they need and no more. The more you try to squeeze into your design,
the more it detracts from the sign's effectiveness. General rule of
thumb: If it needs to be said say it; if not, leave it off.
Fill as much of the sign's area as possible. This doesn't
mean you should get carried away and start adding text or graphics
to every square inch of the design. Fill as much of the space in
with your text as you can (remember, large letters can be read from
a farther distance) then get creative with the remaining free space
to make it as attractive and eye-appealing as possible.
Graphics, colors, borders, shadows, etc., all add their own
flavor to your design. Be bold and experiment with a few of these
techniques to see what you come up with; you might be pleasantly
surprised with the results. We have the ability to create any or all
of these enhancements if you wish to incorporate them into your
design.
Alignment is extremely important in a design's overall visual
appeal. We have tools that can center-, left- or right-align all of
your text for you. If the design is meant to be aligned, make sure
that it is. If not, make it obvious that the design was purposely
misaligned. You don't want your advertisement to appear amateurish.
If your design's elements are not in proper alignment, it will show.
Our final piece of do-it-yourself design advice is to examine
other designs. Search for some existing designs you like for
inspiration. To that end, we add new design templates to our
database on a regular basis.
If, having reviewed all these design tips, you are still feeling
uncomfortable about the prospect of designing your own sign, you can
send your request to our customer service staff. They will be happy
to work within your specifications to create a design you will be
thrilled with.

Finding the
perfect location & view for your banner sign.

When installing a banner sign in .au, consider the best possible
view... from the approaching reader.
If you have decided to purchase a banner, it is very
important to place your new banner is a position that will present
your message and your company the most good. By selecting the proper
location, viewing angle of height, you can ensure that your new
purchase will perform beyond expectations and that it will be able
to function to the utmost. Banner signs are a cheap sign... but...
importantly... possibly your most effective business marketing.
“Location, location, location,” applies to more
than real estate. When you are hanging a banner, this is the most
important factor. Here are some useful tips to help you find the
best location for your banner.
DESIGN TIP: KEEP YOUR MESSAGE CLEAR, QUICK AND
IMPORTANT.
1. Make it Visible – Placing a banner on the wrong side of your
building or under an overhang can greatly reduce the ability of
potential customers to see this banner. You will need to make sure
that your banner is located where it can be easily seen from the
majority of directions and angles.
2. Stand back and be the reader – Before you finalize your banner's position, try
viewing the banner sign in several different angles and positions. Then, place yourself in your
customer's position. Is it visible from the road, sitting in a car?
Can it be easily seen from across the street in multiple directions?
You will need to find the one location that provides the most
visibility. Take some time with this step to make sure that your
final location is the right location.
3. Remember the Elements – Weather can be detrimental to your new
banner. If it is not secure properly, your banner may flap in the
wind, making it difficult to read by passing pedestrians and
vehicles.
4. Update your message. Above, a brief description of the
Keder installation system is discussed. This is particularly useful
for updating your banner sign messages easily.
All marketing requires updating and modernisation.
Use your banner signs to convey messages suited to your promotional
activities.
By following these steps, you will be able to get the most out of
your banner signage, both in actual life of the banner and
effectiveness in getting your message across.
