Our best laser cut sign ever!
This sign above was created with specific customer
requirements.
1. No holes were used to hang this sign.
2. The signage would be transported around Australia to be the focus
signage for trade show exhibitions.
3. Light weight, it should be easily attached or hung at various
exhibition centres, then repositioned on the showroom display wall.
Our solution was to make a sign panel in 3mm
Highly Polished Aluminium, the lettering was laser cut 10mm high
gloss black acrylic.
With clear instructions, the signage was made to
achieve all customer requirements perfectly.
• Lettering: 10mm Black Acrylic - High Gloss, flame polished
edges
• Attached using Ultra Bond adhesives.
• Rear Split battens (MDF) were used and attached to the rear side
of the laser cut aluminum sign. Recessed into the MDF allowances
for self drilling screws and mounted to the wall with wall mates.
• Using split battens, allowed the customer to lift off the
wall the signage and transport easily in a contained box.
• Graphic Design challenges included redrawing the client logo
ready for laser cutting, smoothing curves and creating straight
lines. The values between cutting aluminium and black acrylic were
considered and controlled. Inlines and
outlines were used. Kerf values and laser cutting speed variables
were controlled to give perfect edge to edge signage.
• Time to manufacture 11 days.

A plain plaster wall was transformed into a modern, sleek and
appropriate corporate reception area with a combination of plastic
sign effects.
Shipped to Melbourne, the above sign was made to suit
the exact logo of the company as an 'Ice Sign'.
• Face stock: 8mm Clear Acrylic - high gloss
• Rear color created using online colour system, Light orange
and Reflex and
Clear. Color is applied so that sides of clear acrylic transmit
light and create a fantastic depth and feel.
• This signage project was completed in 5 processes including laser
cutting 8mm clear acrylic, laser cutting 3mm Reflex Acrylic and
combining color on the rear to give a depth to the wall. Later, the
company installed drop down lights to further enhance the
charasteristics of the sign. The project
involved our graphic artists setting 3 different cut files including
the rear vinyl graphics colours. Inlines and outlines were used.
